Note: Firstly flatten the gusset (the seam inside the hakama) to the right and place the hakama flat on a surface, with it's back facing up. Align the left and right sides, and while maintaining this position by holding the bottom of the hakama, flip iit over and proceed to straighten out the pleats on the front. Next, fold the hakama in three and proceed with (1) above.
